When you are playing backgammon online, the only backgammon equipment you need is a mouse and internet connection. However, if you plan to play backgammon off-line, whether at a local backgammon club or on the beach with some friends, you'll need at least basic backgammon equipment. The basic backgammon equipment consists of a backgammon board, a set of checkers and two pairs of dice. Other backgammon equipment includes a pair of dice shakers, used to shake the dice on each turn and a doubling cube, used to double the initial stake when playing backgammon for money. |
